My Poems
I was there once...

I was there once, It was so peaceful...

Clear blue sky, A little stream

That sparckles Like silver across

The smooth rocks...

Thousands of Goldfish swim

Down stream

Into a deep blue sea...

Pooled near the base

Of the dark grey Mountains...

lightly frosted With crystals

Of white snow...

The water hissed In low tones

As birds sang The melodie...

Even the sounds Of the wind

Was in harmony, Until... I awoke

Cole Feb 1997

A poem that was given to me by someone special.

I was struck before that hour
With love so sudden and so sweet
Your face it bloomed like a sweet flower
And stole my heart away complete.

My face turned pale as deadly pale
My legs refused to walk away
And when you looked, what could I ail?
My life and all seemed turned to clay
And then my blood rushed to my face
And took my eyesight away
The trees and bushes around the place
Seemed moonlight at moonday

I could not see a single thing
Words from my eyes did start
They spoke as chords do from the string
And blood burnt round my heart

My tears are shed

Each night for you

The love you gave

Was way too strong

I think of all

The things you've done

The love you gave

It held me here

I was so affraid

That I'd get caught

The love you gave

Had me in knots

I only did

What I knew how

I left your love

That was way too strong

I left the love

That held me here

I left your love, for good that night

I still shed my tears

Each night for you

The love you gave

I now return to you

Mark, I love you with all my heart. October 1996
